Today, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defence, Laurie Hawn, on behalf of the Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, announced a defence infrastructure project to renovate the Supply Squadron Warehouse at 4 Wing Cold Lake, home of fighter pilot training for the Canadian Forces. The investment of $3.6 million is generating economic benefits for the local economy and employment opportunities throughout the course of the work.

The Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Peter MacKay, and the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Minister of State (Agriculture), the Honourable Jean-Pierre Blackburn, announced a new infrastructure project today to upgrade facilities at 3 Wing Bagotville. Upgrades to this wing, which is responsible for the control and defence of North-American air space, entail an investment of $2.7 million, and will bring about economic benefits and job opportunities.
