Tranist Infrastructure Plans

Milton Ontario Bus Stop Plans

My Milton Bus Stop Plans

North Side | South Side

Approximate additional distances of each plan.   Measurements taken using Google Earth.

North Side:
  • Eastbound: 1.10 km (1.43 km - 0.33 km)
  • Westbound: 0.53 km (0.81 km - 0.28 km)
  • Total: 1.63 km
South Side:
  • Eastbound: 0.18 km (0.79 km - 0.61 km)
  • Westbound: 1.32 km (1.60 km - 0.28 km)
  • Total: 1.50 km
The Milton Hwy Bus Stop would be used by GO, Greyhound, any chartered coaches, as well as local transit.

This shows Milton positioned with an infrastructure connection between Kitchener / Waterloo, and all points west, and Toronto, Canada's largest City.

Note: I once wanted to go from Kitchener to Milton on Greyhound, but the most direct route was by going though downtown Toronto.   I watched Milton go by as the bus passed it on the 401.   Discuss.

Pickering Ontario GO Transit Path Plans

My Pickering GO Path Plans

Path | Mall | Dual | Current

Approximate distances of each plan.   Measurements taken using Google Earth.
  • Path 0.24 km
  • Mall 0.44 km
  • Current 1.14 km
This shows Pickering with an economic office tower and shopping mall 'downtown', which has a 15 lane hwy running right though the middle of it, a commuter train station linking it to all major centres in the region, (including the largest city in Canada), and with every office building made easily accessible, to the mall and the train and each other, by pedestrian tunnels.

The current path consists of walking through a parking lot, up a hill, over a hwy overpass, down a street, and across a parking lot.

Just found out they're building this Pedestrian Bridge over Highway 401 which will be very good.
